About Dennis

Dennis C. Miller is the President and CEO of Dennis C. Miller Associates Inc., located in Morristown, New Jersey. Prior to founding DCM, Dennis was managing director of Strategic Partners for Nonprofit Organizations, a specialized nonprofit consulting firm in Westfield, NJ. With more than 28 years of experience working as both a consultant and executive with numerous nonprofit organizations, including healthcare, human services, arts and cultural and educational institutions, he brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the table for his many clients.

Dennis was previously president and CEO of a major New Jersey teaching medical center and healthcare foundation. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of a private college preparatory school and has chaired their successful capital campaign.
Dennis has an undergraduate degree in business and sociology from Rutgers University and a Master’s in Public Health Administration from Columbia University’s School of Public Health. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the New Jersey Council of Teaching Hospitals, Center for Health Affairs, Qualcare, Inc., and the Healthcare Executive Business Network Group.

A sought after motivating speaker, Dennis brings a passion and wealth of personal experience and practical knowledge to his audiences. He is a frequently requested guest speaker at conferences and a facilitator at nonprofit board retreats.
Dennis is the author of the book, “A Guide to Achieving New Heights: The Four Pillars of Successful Nonprofit Leadership” as well as a regular columnist on nonprofit board governance for Nonprofit Times.
